Tennessee HB 1464 would update Tenn. Code Ann. § 7-51-210 to include “electrical lineman” in the state’s emergency responder death benefit.
Right now, that law authorizes a $250,000 annuity, paid over five years, to the estate of an emergency responder killed in the line of duty. HB 1464 would extend that same protection to eligible electrical LineMen working for, or contracted with local government.
This is not about a title. It’s about making sure families are not left behind when the unthinkable happens.
